Interpretations

This is the Three Gossips in Arches NP. Sometimes I have to question the names given to rock formations. It is easy for me to imagine three people huddled together. Not sure why they are “gossiping”. I guess it is more interesting than just calling the formation “Three People”. I was trying to think of what I might have called this formation. I rejected Three Musketeers, Three Amigos and Three Stooges. I decided I liked the Three Tenors. Singing definitely seems more positive than gossiping.

Which brings to mind The Ignatian Presupposition: “It should be presupposed that every good Christian ought to be more eager
to put a good interpretation on a neighbor’s statement than to condemn it.”
