What draws your attention in this photo? The blue sky? The reflection in the water? For me, it is the notch in the distant hill. I’m not sure why, but maybe because it seems to disrupt the otherwise smooth lines in the scenery. Things that blend in, by definition, do not attract attention.

We may not want the attention, but there are times we are called to stand out. To be a a lamp on stand; city on the hill.
